• Stunning Vintage 1950s DeMario NY Hallmarked Clip-on Gold Tone Earrings with Embroidered Rhinestones Faux Pearls • Similar to the styles he may have designed for Miriam Haskell, the flower shape is intricately hand embroidered with chaton rhinestones added onto a gold-tone foil metal filigree backdrop. The center is set with a single oval faux blue cabochon and accented by a single round pearl bead at the bottom. • Robert DeMario was a successful designer of costume jewelry in the 1940s-1960s. What jewelry historians cannot agree on is whether or not he started out designing for Miriam Haskell. • Robert closed his business in 1965.
