DELIGHTFUL 1940s' BROWN FELT TILT FEDORA WITH WIDE BRIM + ORANGE CURLED FEATHERS

This is a delightful hat indeed. This tilt hat consists of a small, conical shaped crown surrounded by a wide upturned brim. There is a brown grosgrain band around the crown, ending in a. bow at the center front, tying a pair of gorgeous curled orange feathers. GThere is an elastic band attached to the hat to keep the hat in a tilted position.\ Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. Imprinted inside the hat: Genuine GLENOVER felt. This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
