DELFT WINE BOX 2-Tile Tableau Presentation Case Wine God Dionysus Bacchus Cherub

Storing your favorite red wine bottle in this coffer and displaying it, upon opening the wine, the tiles serve as a convenient coaster for at least 2 glasses and the bottle, ha! Matter a fact, where the 2 tiles meet in the center, it seems the edges have stained in red wine! When I saw this, I had to have it as I've never come one before, ha! It easily stores a 750ml Bordeaux style bottle (i.e., Cab/Merlot). It will NOT HOLD a Burgundy or Champagne bottle. SPECS - TILES - each about 5.5"sq showing and I would estimate 5.75"sq including what's under the wood frame? BOX - about 13.4375"L x 6.5"W x 4.25"H CONDITION - EXCELLENT! TILES - no hairlines, cracks, chips of flakes - visible edges in the center have a few frits indicating age - crazing in the whites areas with stained brown on the upper left corner above the cherub - moderate beginning to stain brown in other areas - numerous pin hold glaze pops are are now brown with age-accumulate soil - kiln faults of glaze pops, glaze misses, grit, carbon spots, etc. WOOD CASE - fine careful craftsmanship - showing its age - moderate to heavy use - dents here and there - discoloration here and there - moderate scratches - hinges and clasp are soiled and need a good polish - brown soiled areas - I've only polished the wood from time to time and have never cleaned it of its soil from previous owners - some areas where the wood is joined, is showing signs of expansion/separation - overall, the wood box is in good/excellent condition
