DAINTY PURPLE AMETHYST CABOCHON PENDANT - JN2XGPP1

Small but mighty in design, this 11 mm x 14 mm stone is set in a bezel on a 6 mm long silver plated open scrollwork pendant. The pendant hangs from a 1.2mm x 18" silver plated snake chain with an open lobster clasp. A French poem tells a story of Goddess Diana saving a maid from Bacchus, an angry god of wine, by turning her into stone. He poured wine over the stone, turning it purple, creating the amethyst gemstone.
