Cupples Co. Good Housekeepers Glass Washboard Vintage Hand Laundry All Original

“Good Housekeepers” glass washboard. Manufactured by the Cupples Company-St. Louis, MO. Glass washboards became more popular during the World War II era due to metal being used for the war effort. Amazing used condition with patina from many years of use. No cleaning was done except mild soap on the glass. Brand printing on the front is faded but clearly visible. Printing on the “work” side is faded considerably and is barely legible. There is a small chip of wood missing in the upper right corner of the “work” side and is shown in the photos. The glass is visually amazing and places this washboard on a higher level compared to the thousands of standard metal washboards available. Great wall art for a vintage kitchen or modern laundry room!
