Scenes from wildlife abound in the traditional artwork of the Kuna people who live on the San Blas Islands off the Atlantic Coast of Panama. The Kuna produce their one-of-a-kind art in bright cotton panels in a style they call mola. Traditionally, molas are used by Kuna women as the front and back panels of their blouses. This state-of-the-art 100% PLASTIC shirt is made from 50% recycled 2-liter soda bottles, 50% scrap from virgin plastic production, and nothing else. •Although it looks and feels like cotton, this shirt requires 33% less energy to manufac-ture, requires less water and energy to wash ana dry, and lasts much longer. *No ayes, bleaches, stabilizing chemicals or formaldehydes are used in the production of plastic shirts.
