Edwardian convertible flower brooch designed by Crane Theurer.
Beautiful and unusual clover, created in America during the Edwardian and the Art Nouveau periods, back in the 1905. This convertible pendant-brooch has been designed by the jewelry company of Crane Theurer in the shape of a four-leaves clover. The piece was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 14 karats with satin and polished finishes. It is embellished with applications of non-glossy black enamel. It is fitted at the reverse with a horizontal hinged pin bar with a mechanical lock to wear as a brooch and a mechanical retractable swivel ring to wear in a chain as a pendant. The enamel work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the fibers and veins of the leaves. It is a little jewel with exquisite and exceptional details, Pansies flowers symbolize a hope that love should not be forgotten.
Pearls: The border of the petals and the center are mounted in flush setting, with 28 round white pearls graduated between 0.75 and 1 mm.
Weight: 5.95 Grams (3.89 Dwt).
Measurements: 27 mm by 30 mm by 7 mm (1.06 x 1.18 x 0.28 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's monogram mark associated to Crane Theurer, the mark for the assay of the gold, the four-digits inventory serial numbers and signed, "TC 14KT 7076".
