Crackle Glaze Porcelain Apothecary Jar

Up for sale is a very nice vintage porcelain apothecary jar with crackle finish. I'm guessing it is from the 60s or 70s in the style of a much older jar. It measures about 9.5”H x 5”W. It is in nice vintage, pre-owned condition with no chips. Please check out the photos. These types of jars were used for display in a pharmacy or drugstore. The “crackle glaze” or “crackled ceramics” effect is achieved by applying a glaze that shrinks more than the clay body during firing, creating a network of fine cracks across the surface. The jars came with many different herbs printed on them this one says Carica Papaya which is the papaya or paw paw plant. The leaves can be used medicinally.
