I’m sure I’ll get banned for posting this, but I HAVE to let my fellow Poshers know what is going on! This user sold me a counterfeit item and Poshmark released the funds to her today, despite KNOWING the item was counterfeit. I read about Poshmark doing this, but I truly loved the platform and didn’t want to believe it. Unfortunately, Poshmark has proven me wrong, and if Poshmark isn’t going to honor their return policy, buyers have a right to know. Please report this seller, as we deserve better!! Update May 9: I was forced to file a dispute with Affirm after Poshmark refused to assist. Poshmark has continued to allow this seller to post counterfeit goods. Unfortunately, Affirm has sided with Poshmark and is claiming that I will have to start paying for this counterfeit item (with interest). Not only is the item counterfeit, but it does not match the listing description as it’s painted plastic and vinyl, not leather and brass, and is even a different size than described. This is a blatant violation of terms of service, and is against the law for multiple reasons.

lryan89 I reported several of her items this week due to being replicas and Poshmark apparently did nothing about it because they never took them down. So frustrating.

They def don’t do any kind of screening unless someone gets the item and then reports it as receiving counterfeit, then they automatically just side with the buyer, The M platform is probably the way to go since they authenticate items and u can always request authentication on any item you are interested in and unsure of ☹️ just so disgusting that so many people have no morals and scam because they know sometimes they get away with it

lryan89 @kikib946 hmm yea I’ve received like 3 counterfeit items now and I thankfully didn’t have issues returning them and the sellers didn’t even try to not accept the return cuz they knew

lryan89 @kikib946 sorry that’s happening to you. Even if they released funds, you can email customer service directly with a complaint and explain what happened and then submit a lot of photos to prove that the item is counterfeit

bellalola11 @kikib946 send an email , most of times buyers receive a refund. Just email them even if they released the money you still have insurance. Unless the authentication department saw the photos after your report and found the item to be authentic.

chelseasimmon I’ve had to send 4 EMAILS before someone actually reached out to me and refunded me my money due to fraud… My last email was very harsh. It’s a shame you even have to go to great lengths just to get even hear back from someone.

kikib946 @chelseasimmon Their “customer service” is insane. I’ve been emailing for a week and finally had to report to the Better Business Bureau. I tried calling their corporate number, and of course the voicemail box was full! 😂

kikib946 As an update to anyone interested, Poshmark continued to uphold that I am responsible for paying for this counterfeit item. They directly violated their own terms of service multiple times, so I reached out to Affirm to dispute the purchase.

kikib946 Affirm sided with Poshmark and now I am required to make payments on a counterfeit item (with interest). I am diligently trying to warn others of this scam and ask that you share this post. I am hopeful that with pressure, Poshmark will honor their policies and stop this illegal activity.
