Cornwall Bridge Pottery Vase 7" Cobalt Blue Stoneware Marked CBP Todd Piker CT

Wheel thrown vessel by noted ceramicist, Todd Louis Piker of Cornwall Bridge Pottery in CT, USA. Todd Piker apprenticed with Michael Cardew in 1970 and also worked with Svend Bayer during that time. He established CBP in 1972 which continues to produce functional wood fired stoneware 6 times a year. Most of the pieces are the work of Todd's apprentices, many of whom have gone on to start successful Potteries of their own. Acquired in CT. Gorgeous wheel thrown vessel fished with vibrant cobalt Blue salt glaze. A weed pot for stems of dry or fresh plants/flowers or can also be used as a bud vase for larger flower varieties. Beautiful stand alone decor. Stamped and in excellent/like new condition. Mark can be referenced on the Marks Project website.
