Have you ever seen a mama rocking a baby corn husk doll?
Whoever the artist here, really took her doll-making to a new level! On the inside of the hem, there might be the initials PA, seen in the 9th photo. Let me know if this is what it looks like to YOU.
This pioneer lady is rocking a baby in a blanket and her left hand is actually holding a bottle made of corn husk!!- so skillfully made! It strikes me as a piece made in the 1980s.
Her dress is full, and the clothing she's wearing is wonderful - the blanket draped over her arm, her apron and bonnet!
Finishing her look off: She sits in a natural wood rocker!
This fine figure measure 5 1/4" tall. From front to back, 4 1/2" inches, left to right it is about 5+ inches.
This piece has been beautifully preserved. This appears to be stiffened and varnished. It worked great!
If you know the maker of this doll with such a unique style, please let me know.
