“Coral fossil jade, also known as agatized fossil coral, forms through a geological process where prehistoric coral skeletons are gradually replaced by agate (chalcedony or quartz). This transformation occurs over millions of years under specific conditions where acidic groundwater dissolves the coral's original calcium carbonate skeleton and replaces it with silica. Trace minerals like iron and manganese then deposit, creating the colorful patterns often seen in fossil coral.
Fossilized coral represents a connection to ancient life and the Earth's history, carrying symbolic meanings of grounding, stability, and the cyclical nature of life. It's believed to promote emotional balance, enhance intuition, and foster a connection to ancient wisdom. In metaphysical terms, it's seen as a grounding stone that aids in change and can help with healing and enhancing longevity.”
