Convex Double Sided French Made Silk Wire Wrapped Picture Frame Antique 1940's

This listing is for a very old pearl, wire, silk, and lace art work, encased in convex glass, surrounded by a twisted pewter frame. Both sides of the glass bow out. This was purchased at a flea market in Long Beach, CA in 1995. I was told this was made by hand by nuns at a convent in Paris. Before the buyer migrated to the United States she purchased it at an outdoor market in France. The craftsmanship is stellar. The frame measures approximately 4 1/2" by 3 1/4". Please note the one solder mark at 1 o'clock on the front. There are also soldering marks on the back. It is free of tarnish and condensation. The frame cannot be opened.
