The hood is detachable by zipper and there are plenty of pockets and toggles for self adjusting for that snug and personal fit. Is machine washable and gently loved, the last pic and the video show a couple flaws to be aware of. The pic shows some marks on the outer layer and the video where a small hole is and where the inner jacket was zipped in the outer jackets zipper. Lying flat the outer layer measures approximately 24 inches armpit to armpit and this is an extra large in womens. My daughter is 24 and she grew out of it.
