barbieliever @jerrysmith679 if the waist stretches only to 44” it’s too small. BUT if the hip distance or however many “ lower than the waist is at least27” (for my 54” waist), i could hem it from the top! So i need 1. current length below waistband, and 2. How many inches must my tailor cut off in order to reach that 54” around ( 27” flat- measured)?

jerrysmith679 Waist band stretched to 22 in. 40 in long. 84 in round at hem. 60 in around at the hip. Hope this helps.

jerrysmith679 @barbieliever it’s got a 2in waist band. But did notice it is pleaded under the waistband and also noticed some pockets. I put more pictures up about it if you see something in my closet that you can get for $15 I’ll throw this in free for you so you can try it.

barbieliever @jerrysmith679 Shortening from the top wont work due to pockets unless i put the new waistband below the pocket. That might make it too short. But pleats is good. They can be loosened. I might be able to just put longer elastic at the waist given there’s enough fabric (at least 60” around). Thats a nice offer. I’ll shop and see if i find something i can use. And if this skirt doesnt work out I can find a way to return it.
