If you use the designer names in your titles like in mine, when buyers Google something, yours will usually show in the search results if it matches the description💕💕

I spent hours yesterday trying to get each listing with an additional photo explaining why I don't do them anymore and feel free to copy my photo and use it if you want! I only got about halfway up from the bottom of my available listings

But it took me forever to figure out how to type the text of the photo and put it with a pink background and I'm going to try to finish with the rest of the listings today. born_againbtq @flgrllife is really serious about buying and if the listing has already been through a few promotions all we have to do is tell the buyer we're going to relist it again and tag them and then as soon as they go to it and "like" it we can lower it by 10% and they'll also get the reduced shipping from Poshmark. Now it's about US making money instead of all about Poshmark🤣💕💕💕

born_againbtq @flgrllife No, because most of the time people either scroll right past it or I'll be in the middle of sharing so it won't be at the top, so I figured out the only way was to include it in every listing which is a pain at first doing all of my current listings but it'll be easier as I list from now on. I hate these promotions because I rarely make sales. I'm going to add them to my make-up listings now because those are the ones that sell the most during these.

born_againbtq @flgrllife I think the point is just to get as much money as they can even if it means we're losing money, honestly. I rarely drop my prices and just wait it out because I try to price things fairly unless they're hard to find and new or Vintage or make-up, which is the only one I lower for these promotions because they're usually a lower price and it makes a big difference. But only if they are serious from now on.

flgrllife @danalouf I give a bundle discount and they still want like 50% off of the discounted price. I find it hard to make money on here because of the 20% they take and how everyone low balls. The customers want discount on top of discount. I had one lady who wanted a coach wristlet, designer jeans, and 2 other NWT items for like 120. I had already bundle discounted to 160.

Basically, the idea is that as sellers, we are to lower our prices by 10% and anyone who has liked a listing will also receive reduced shipping during the closet clear-out.

born_againbtq @darden56 You don't have to participate and the reason I no longer do is because each time we have to lower our prices by 10% from the lowest price it's been listed for so if I do this each time I'm almost weekly reducing my prices by another 10% each time so a $30 listing is $27 the first time, $24 the next time and so on and so on. And honestly I rarely sell anything on these except maybe make-up so that's why I posted this.

moquisteps Great idea! I created a Free Box in my closet for items that don't move. I priced everything at $5 or free if they are bundled with at least one higher priced item. Despite making it clear that I won't go lower than $5, I'm sure you can imagine how many people still ask. Especially during Closet Clear Outs. If I reduced the price and gave the required shipping discount, I would, in fact, be giving the item away!

I tried the same thing and I don't know if it's a psychological thing or what but all I'd get were the same as you're talking about and I finally figured out that when buyers see the $5 thing, they either think we're desperate or that the listing mustn't be as cute as they thought or why would you be giving it away?

There’s only so many price drops you can do then ppl think you’re desperate to sell & the reason for this is so WE have to pay for reduced ship as opposed to CCO where they do so they just figured out a way for us to pay it! If it's something damaged I'd just donate and use the tax write-off or if not damaged, you can bundle like items for sale or just give as gifts with purchase of it's not worth much. If I were you, I'd share to every party and whatever you share that's included in the party theme is seen by potentially everyone and for example, if it's a handbag party, only your handbags will be seen by everyone and everything else it's just your followers. So you want to share and build your followers for sure!

And I still do when I have time but like you I have at least 1,000 items I need to list and then sharing everyday, it takes a lot of time. But right now yours will go fast. So as far as Someone being scammed while treating it must have been another person’s site. But her name was Bernice EPPS. So don’t do any trades with anyone by that name. This is how a lot of my prices got so low was by participating in there games in the beginning when I was new to posh. Ie my Balenciaga ( I could have gotten 2X as much at least & so many other items) I very rarely participate any more. So I know I have many questions for you..... curious, how does my pricing look. Based On closet clear outs I have Chanel glasses that have been reduced to do what you would pay for a knock off which is absolutely ridiculous considering their brand new without tag paid $485 and if I’m lucky if I will sell them for $50 then I get basically five bucks and a ham sandwich 🥪!!!

So far no one has asked for me to lower anything for a promotion but I think I get a lot more offers and if it’s during a promotion I offer to lower for the promotion then. born_againbtq @karenism You would laugh if you saw how long it took me to make these 2 pics with the writing in them😂 I had to type it in my notes app and take a photo of a blue and a pink background and then I photographed the typed message in my note app and made them using the Piclab app. I use that one a lot for my listings for long items to show the front and back. But it took a couple of hours I’m so computer illiterate 😂💕💕💕

I’ve been selling here for over 4 years and honestly make maybe $1,000-$1,200 a month but I definitely have super slow times where I want to throw in the towel. But I just keep going and try to list a few items and share and follow every day. You have a beautiful closet and I’m sure it’ll pick up💕💕💕

vicki2222 This is why I always have some of my prices higher that way when someone offers something I can get what I wanted. But some ppl are just idiots bc I have a Boho dress in my closet for $58 and it’s very well made great dress someone offered me $25 I wanted to jump through the screen and we’ll you know lol. People will buy used things before they will buy brand new well made items. Don’t make no sense.

highheelheaven @born_againbtq amen to that. Does anybody even know what the point of dropping price 10% every time is.? It cannot benefit poshmark bottom line either. If we dropped it 10% and nobody purchased and then we have to keep going down again and again it’s ridiculous and it causes sellers to inflate listing prices when they first list their items. So thanks for pointing this out. I will share.

born_againbtq @stephers723 I just was packaging your purchase and as I was packaging, I noticed that the bottom portion of the butter plate isn’t absolutely perfect and I just wanted to show you any imperfections before I ship. I added photos to this listing and as for the salt and pepper shaker, those are new in the box and the rest of the pieces I didn’t see anything, and I had to look really closely to see anything wrong with the bottom but I’ll wait to hear back from you before I ship💕

I’ve been selling on here for 4 years and I used to fall for these promotions but all I ever get are lowball offers on listings I just reduced for the promotions!! So I stopped completely for the last year and just keep my prices the same and I have a photo in all of my listings so buyers know and I promise my sales have actually increased💕💕

Now I have been on here 1.5 years (where does the time go) and it kills me when you are having to offer 30-40% to send out that offer. Ridiculous. I have been trying to offer more off to likers if something has been sitting a while, but only when I feel like it and not when PM directs me to. Similar to you.
