The problem with the seller giving "discounted shipping" we figured out recently, is that they charge the seller for the difference (we first thought Posh covers it), so if I offer you $4.99 shipping, the $1.50 comes off my price anyway (so I'm back to $10.50). We're a bit annoyed at Posh (to be continued)

But when a person likes something, there is no similar automatic way to make them a private offer. You can "manually" make them an offer (to be cont)

nicolescorner @jalopy5 ....by going onto a listing and saying you'd be willing to take $x and if they say yes, they can make that offer to you. You don't want to discuss price under the item itself (then everyone knows your "low", so you can do that under their profile page for instance. Does that all hopefully make sense? 😊

nicolescorner @jalopy5 So technically a bundle is 2 or more items meant to let the seller offer an across the board discount advertised on their closet. If you go to Sellers Tools, you can for instance select 2 items and 10% discount (that's what I have it set at). Recently Posh added the feature that if someone bundles even 1 item, you can make the private offer (tbc)

nicolescorner @jalopy5 Likes are considered less of a "commitment"- people like something to save it for different reasons. Sometimes someone likes something & comes back to buy it a month later. Some genuinely just are saying they like the item lol. At first I used to thank every like & said to let me know if they had q's, but it took too much time! I found it better to share your closet as much as possible instead....

nicolescorner @jalopy5 When you click on your user name at the bottom right corner, that's where you see a bunch of categories (your Posh Stats, Sellers Tools etc.). They have one called Posh Etiquette which shows Do's & Dont's. It actually shows as a Don't asking "likes" if they are interested (it's actually pretty funny). But as you say, many people are a bit more forward & pursue likes. Btw I see from your photo that you've got young kids (tbc)

nicolescorner @jalopy5 So guess what, I just learned something thanks to your q! I googled "offers to Likers" & sure enough, Posh started that feature in Feb! You hit the Price Drop button on your item & then it brings up the choice of making a private offer to all your Likers. That's what you've been seeing made to you. I still don't think I'll do that often, but maybe for select people that seem to buy a lot lol 😂

If you lower your price on an item the regular way, that notification goes to all your followers, so I guess that's why they are calling it a private offer to just your likers....

nicolescorner @jalopy5 You're exactly right- the Offer to Likers feature goes out to all Likers on the item, there's no way to offer it to 1 person (they really shouldn't call it private). That's what threw me off when you 1st asked about making an offer to 1, it's not like you can when they put an item in a bundle.

nicolescorner @jalopy5 Sorry forgot about your last question! - if you make an offer to someone via bundle or the group Offer to Likers, the item is still available for purchase by anyone. The only time an item is not available is they give a buyer 10 mins to finalize their purchase (e.g. sometimes they didn't update their expir date) so it shows Reserve, or if you change an item to Not for Sale (e.g. if you're holding it for someone). Your head can spin with all of it right lol? 😂

shangrila5 @nicolescorner I need to make a closet worth looking at then . . . doing the listings takes some time and I'm not even fussy about photo quality. Everyone at home is "too busy" to help. I have hundreds of dresses and tops, literally, then some skirts, pants, sox, coats & jackets, earrings, necklaces, it's so boring to photograph them and write blurbs about them.
