Christofle France Lumiere Collection- Silver-plate Pierced Turtle

The Lumiere d'argent Collection by Christofle was produced between 1987 and 1994. I believe that 36 animals were created during this time. This little turtle is approximately 3 inches long and is coated to prevent tarnishing. He comes with his original box where he has lived since his purchase. These animals are highly collectible in the second-hand market. The filigree work is reminiscent of the work in Christofle's first jewelry pieces.
