Chic vintage velvet pillbox hat with netting

This is such a lovely hat. Made by the well-known milliner Mr. John. The body is rich velvet and the netting is delicately dotted. Note: there is a tear in the netting - see pix. Otherwise in excellent shape, especially for a hat of this era (1950s-1960s). Note re: sizing - please do not assess size by how it looks on this bust/model - the bust/model is not to scale and is smaller than the adult head.
