Chanel vintage SS 1998 high waist pleated tapered leg trousers

Elegant pants from Chanel's spring 1998 collection. Made from ivory spring and summer weight wool woven fabric. Cut with a high rise, pleating at the waist, belt loops and a tapered leg. They were originally cuffed and turned back at the hem but have been professionally altered to have a straight leg. Side pockets, back buttoned flap pockets. Lined in silk. The buttons used throughout are matte silver. They feature the classic mirrored C Chanel logo and also have the landline for the Rue Cambon boutique stamped on them! (These buttons appear to be unique to the S/S 98 collection.) The pants are missing the label and size tags inside the waistband. The fabric content and care tag is attached at the side seam. Minor wear includes greyish marks along the creases at the front of the leg near the cuffs- see the 4th photos. There is staining on the inside of the cuffs where the pants have been hemmed- see the 5th photos (this is not visible when the pants are worn.) There are tiny (under 1/16") holes at the back of the right knee which aren't noticeable due to their small size and the lining. See the 7th pic. There's also a small (1/8") faint spot on the front of the right leg, see the 7th & 8th photos. Despite this minor wear these are beautifully made and were built to last! Size on tag: no size tag.
