Edwardian Belle Époque hairs-comb designed by Cartier.
This is one of the most magnificent, jeweled hairs combs we have ever seen. This is a museum piece created during the Edwardian / Belle Époque periods in Paris France by the jewelry house of Cartier, back in the 1900. The fabulous hairs-comb has been designed with elegant French neoclassic patterns in the style of Louis XVI. Exceptionally crafted with solid yellow gold of 18 karats topped with platinum for the settings of the diamonds and carved tortoiseshell comb. The upper part is accented with one hundred sixty-one rose cuts diamonds and embellished with a delicate engine turned guilloché design topped with translucent blue and opaque white, glass enamels. This magnificent and very important piece rivals the works by Kark Faberge made in Russia during the same period.
