Carry A Nation Hatchet Pin

This is 1900 - 1910 Antique Temperance pin made of brass, mother of pearl and with a small rhinestone. Approximately 2” long, 3/4” wide with a working C clasp closure. Caroline Amelia Nation aka Carry A Nation and her temperance followers would enter taverns and using their hatchets break as many bottles of liquor as possible. As a result, she was arrested more than 30 times! This is a great piece of history and it originally belonged to my grandmother’s aunt.
