Caro Nan Owl Purse/ Owl Basket/ Mid Century Purse

This Caro Nan basket handbag is 10 inches long, 6 inches tall, and 5 inches wide. The hand-painted owls on the top are adorable...but NOTHING compared to the baby own hiding in the branches on the front of the basket. SO CUTE!! The hard wooden lid opens up to reveal "Johnston of Florida" (which was the shop that Caro Nan created the bag for)...and is signed "By Caro Nan" in the corner. Caro Nan (or...good friends Caroline and Nancy) started their basket purse making in the 1960's.
