Riefel was born in Austria in 1903. In 1922 he enrolled at the Viennese Academy of Arts. Soon, his work was being exhibited in Paris, Vienna and Berlin. He became interested in botanical art in the 1930s and specialized in fruit and flower painting. Von Reifel's art is well known in Germany and Austria. Here are some of his lithographs for you to choose from. They are genuine vintage prints from the 1950s.
