Carlos Sobral Designer Statement Bangle Bracelet NWT

Carlos Sobral is a Brazilian designer who got his start in Rio de Janeiro in the 1960s. This design features a Senhor Do Bonfim Da Bahia satin ribbon set as an inclusion in a thick walled clear polyester resin plastic bangle bracelet. The green colored ribbon represents life and renewal. As the story goes one chooses the color ribbon they want to realize and ties it to a tree branch. When weather and time separates the ribbon from the branch their wish is realized. The knot can clearly be seen inside the bracelet. I believe since its set in place the desire is permanently realized. Just my thoughts. It's a chunky bangle measuring approx. 1/2" wide with thick walls of 2 5/8" and an inside diameter of approx 2 5/8". It's NWT< never been worn and comes with its original hang tag and drawstring bag.
