I just wanted to take a minute to congratulate all the seniors from the class of 2020! We’ve all been through a lot, but these kids, many whom were born during 9/11, are missing out on so many things...prom, senior activities, even an actual graduation ceremony. My daughter is one of those kids. We couldn’t be more proud of her and what she has already accomplished and overcome. I know this class is strong and resilient. tapshe @michjprieto Yes she is a ginger for sure!!! Even funnier, we named her before she was born so we didn't know she would have red hair--her initials are TNT--she is our little fire cracker for sure!!! Gonna miss her come fall!

tapshe @toptncat right!!!! That’s so crazy. It I actually was nice because I had to make extra moments with her every day and she would’ve been at school and dance all the time so that is really nice for me. she’s a great kid! Thanks for your comments

jsjems I’ve just been reading through all your messages. I too have a 2020 senior. It’s been a crazy year! Congratulations to your beautiful daughter!! What are her cords for? tapshe @jsjems Congratulations to your senior too! Her chords are for national honor Society for general, science, math, and Spanish. She also was doing dual at the community college and received three associates degrees and a linguistic certificate plus she was part of their honors program. I have no idea how I got such a smart kid. Definitely not from myself and my husband 😂😂

jsjems @tapshe wowzers! That’s amazing right there. My boy had a lot of achievements too- but this blows me away! I can’t imagine how much work she must have put in!! My kid was taking college classes and managed to get just over 30 credits and had NO free time. Where is she planning on going next year and for what, if you don’t mind me asking. Also- I’m pretty sure it’s a proven fact that kids get their intellect from their mothers 😉

Yes, she was constantly busy, up early for meetings or studying, and then most nights she had dance until 9pm (competive dancer) then came home to study. She is planning on going to Florida, she's gonna be a Gator like her momma, and hopes to double major in computer science and business management. How about your son?

jsjems @tapshe So exciting for your daughter I don’t know where you are but hopefully she isn’t going too far away. Sloan (my son), is going 2 be a KU Jayhawk studying Aerospace Engineering. He wants 2 be an astronaut. Kansas University has one of the only level one research facilities around here & it allows entering students 2 do hands on research & be involved on projects right away- instead of waiting until he’s an upperclassman). It will be nice having him less than an hour from home!!

The dance studio is actually having a drive by parade for the seniors tomorrow. I’m looking forward to that. Congrats to newest college grad. I hope the day is extra special.

tapshe @jaleyp14 oh, sorry you have to deal with that. But this too will be a memory that you will have forever. And a story you’ll be able to tell your children. This is never happened before, and hopefully never will happen again. Enjoy the extra time you get to spend with your family and hopefully will get back to something more close to normal shortly.
