Coast Savvy® Luxury Frames are made from the finest Mazzucchelli Acetate (developed in 1849 by the Mazzucchelli family of artisans in Italy.) This material derived from cotton and turned into cellulose acetate is hypoallergenic, durable and environmentally friendly. It is a renewable, non-petroleum, plant-based material. Frames: Our Mazzucchelli Acetate frames are made by cutting and molding multiple pieces of cotton resin, which makes them as strong as metal and ideal for eyeglass frames. They are then polished in a bin of natural wood chips for durability and shine. Our chunky frames have beveled edges and high-quality five-tooth, IP gold-plated Spring Hinges. Color: We use organic/natural dyes, which are added and repeatedly sent through rollers for the desired vibrancy.
