This is one of my “test hats.” That means I tried some new processes, including dye colors, paint colors, burning tools, and color combinations. I’m really happy with the way it turned out, especially considering that imperfection is my ultimate goal! It’s a pretty goth purple with rusty burnt areas and a tree, crescent moon burned onto the crown. The cowhide band has been burn etched to mirror the tree motif. There is a LOT of work in this hat, but I’m discounting it because it was a hat I used as a learning tool….not because it’s not fabulous! It’s an Olive & Pique wool hat, and it’s adjustable up to about 23” …maybe larger. I’ll measure tomorrow when I take more pictures.
