Authentic and exceedingly rare CHANEL by Karl Lagerfeld runway piece, from the Autumn/Winter 2015 Parisian Café “Brasserie Gabrielle” Collection- Black & Blue Metallic Tweed Mini Dress/Coat Made in France. Pure Chanel glamour channeling the 1960s vibe for a new generation. Very rare piece, not many were produced for sale. Original retail price would be over $8,000. Part of the Chanel allure is its exclusivity and a rare piece is equal to buying art as an investment. Black & Blue Metallic Tweed was made at Maison Lesage based in Paris, which is one of the world's oldest embroidery ateliers. Lesage tweed is always of handwoven and not used by a machine to create the final result. Pleated fit & flare silhouette. Rolled Collar. Pockets on front Large CC Signature Buttons. Zippers at cuffs. Black Silk lining with subtle black camellia flower pattern. Rolled Collar Buttons Closed with a single Button, folds over with 2 buttons that have large Hook & Eye Closures to secure. Size FR 34, as shown on my size 2/4 mannequin. Was possibly a runway piece adding to its collectibility. The standard model size during the Chanel Fall/Winter 2015 show was likely a French size 34-36 (US size 2-4), which is typical for runway models.
