The leather is buttery lambskin. No tears in the leather - in great condition. Tassel on the side. The color is such a dark navy blue that it looks black. (I had to compare it to a black bag to see the actual blue tone.) Sits perfectly on the hip. No serial number in the zippered pocket - that is why the price is so low.
