CBGB & OMFUG Club Poster

CBGB & OMFUG club poster. For those of you still pups and kittens in the music scene, this was a club where you could catch punk shows, ska, rock, even reggae. Keep in mind that the seventies unfortunately was still a time of racism and fascist people. We weren't able to get punk music or even reggae on your local radio stations. So it became a time to make your own click and find your own way. The only way was to celebrate who you are and what you stand for in what is known as underground clubs. The time to take a stand against what we know, unfortunately, even today as racism!! CBGB was one of the first clubs to get bands like the Ramones to play, Blondie, the Specials, Lee "Scratch" Perry, etc... This place became a ritual for all punk, ska, etc.. We should all be thanking CBGB for a place to go and be yourself. Be great at what you do for others and the community. Spread the good! This was that place!
