This is a truly extraordinary special order piece from Carolina Herrera's most-exclusive runway line. Variations were featured on the runway and ad campaign in white and pink but this black leather version was limited production, designed for red carpet and editorials. The fabric is a world class glossy black nappa lambskin leather - it is like silk, a lightweight and feminine leather that melts into your curves. Each panel is set onto sheer tulle, allowing strips of bare skin to peek through seductively. The panels are heavily tailored and pieced together to create an hourglass silhouette - full bodice, nipped-in waist and a flaring pleat-detail hemline. There are even more floating panels on the front and back, and it's fully lined with the nude silk crepe underlay. This dress was purchased for a red carpet event but never worn. It still has all original tags attached.
