CAROLINA HERRERA - $7990 Runway FAIRY-TALE *HAND-PAINTED* SILK GOWN DRESS Size 6: Fits true Measurements: 34”B, 26”W, 36”H, 58”L This is a truly once in a lifetime fairytale gown, perfect for a formal wedding, red carpet event, or gala. The dress was the star of the runway show, featured in the ad campaign and worn in the Bergdorf Goodman ad campaign as well. The dress is structured around a central corset with boning inserts and a slim column dress layer, it’s then lavished with yards of midnight blue silk organza and a peplum detail which gives the effect of a bustle. The back features a deep v neckline but the front is not as deep as the runway version. The silk has been hand painted with undulating white lines and evokes otherworldly landscapes - the galaxy, ocean currents. It is all swoosh and glamour. Because of the hand-finished and hand-painting this dress was in limited production and was special ordered from the NY flagship. It will come with the matching belt and the matching hand-painted scarf. The oversized scarf shawl was shown as a separate runway look and retailed for $800 on its own. It was worn once for a formal event, cleaned and put into professional gown storage. There is a faint shadow of deodorant marking right at the underarm seam, but obviously this is not visible when worn. It will come with the original CH tissue storage form, hanger, and snakeskin embossed garment bag.
