CAPTIVATING VINTAGE BABY BLUE STRAW TAM WITH GROSGRAIN BOW

This is a beautiful vintage tam that could be from the 1940s' to the 1970s'. It is made of very fine baby blue straw, and is folded and shaped in a unique way, as shown in the photos. There is a wonderful two-tone blue grosgrain bow at the front side. A tam, short for Tam O’ Shanter, is a soft, voluminous round hat, usually with a round seam that joins the flat crown to the sides. Tams often have a band around the bottom that gathers in the voluminous crown and secures the hat to the head of its wearer. There is only a size label: Large (since the hat sits sideways, it would fit most head sizes) This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
