CAPRI vintage domed bright gold tone brooch with a tooled finish. Signed. The pin measures approx. 2.25 inches by 1.75 inches Stylized curved sheaf of feather like leaves Riveted construction Marked "Capri" in script in a rectangle on the back of the piece Lovely high end piece! Capri jewelry was owned by Sol Smith and based at 392 Fifth Avenue, New York. The company was incorporated in 1949 and was in production from about 1952 to around 1977. This piece has no copyright symbol. This dates the piece between approx. 1952 and 1955. Over the entire period Capri was in operation the company had only a few collections. Production was contracted out to other companies -- some say Florenza.
