works great, can read in meters or yards by holding down mode button to change, tap mode button to turn on slope mode for golfing. I don't hunt or golf but it's still cool to look thru because of the magnification and it's fun to just see how far away different things are, would probably even be good for home owners that want to know how long their fence needs to be or other distance measurements. You can hold the long button on top to actively scan measurements or push it while holding the crosshairs over the item and hold still it will give measurement for the stationary item. uses one 9v battery and new battery was installed so that I could test and list it Smoke free home
