There's already a goldmine of information out there on bullseye/target and X stamps, so I screenshot some posts from reliable and frequent forum posting collectors. Some of my bags have them. I've noticed them the most on bags made between the mid 70s and mid 90s.

This really needed to be said! I have heard people trying to say that the bullseye stamp indicates a replicas and it’s so annoying! 🙄😂

@jensicampos That's the main reason I posted it! I've told people they can call Coach if they're skeptical and they just get angrier. 🙄

thank you for this information. I recently have a new love for Coach. I am confused though and maybe you can help me out. I recently bought 4 Coach bags for a very reasonable price on each. I don't see any symbols on the creed patch. Does that mean it isn't real authentic? Thank you for your input. 🥰

@1angel_grace Hi! A coach bag doesn't have to have an extra stamp to be authentic. There's other ways to determine authenticity, the creed no. being the best way to judge. Different decades have different creeds, the numbers indicate the month it was made year, country/factory, and style number. I hope this helps!

Good information. Do you happen to know what the 'small x' on the 'made in china' tag means if there's no creed? Thank you!

@1angel_grace do they have a white tag inside with the serial number?
Nov 21Reply

handbaghobbyist
@erikamunoz279 Hi! Vintage bags do not have the white tag. In late 2014, Coach began to put the serial number on a little white tag instead of the creed. Some special edition bags did get the number stamped onto the creed though.

@fred369 I didn't buy anything from you. If you're using the mobile app, tap your user name in the bottom right of the screen and go to My Sales, select the sale you're having trouble with, then scroll down to Message Buyer to directly contact the shopper. Your payment will automatically be released three days after the delivery date if the buyer isn't responsive. If there's other problems, contact Poshmark customer support from the sale page.

What would a stamp of a c in a circle to the upper right of the creed indicate? I have heard about an O indicating outlet but nothing about a c… does that mean it’s not an authenticate bag?
Mar 04Reply

handbaghobbyist
@ella_brewer Hi! Is it a vintage bag? Some of the stamps I'm familiar with on vintage bags are F (factory bag), M (Macy's exclusive), N (Nordstrom exclusive), X (discount bag), P (pilot/test bag), ES (employee sale), and FS (final sale). I personally haven't seen a C stamp before. :(
Mar 06Reply

ella_brewer
@handbaghobbyist yes it’s a vintage 9966! The creed says K2P-9966, made in Costa Rica which checks out but there is a little C in a circle stamp, much like the bullseye but I can’t find any indication of what that means which gives me pause on authenticity
Mar 06Reply

handbaghobbyist
@ella_brewer That is odd. I've seen fake stamps before, but never with a C in the circle. The fakers usually screw up the creed number or location, which is the biggest giveaway. I'll take a look in a few forums and see if I can find anything.
Mar 06Reply

ella_brewer
@handbaghobbyist thank you so much! Also, would you be concerned if the style number is a lot darker than the rest of the creed?
Mar 06Reply

handbaghobbyist
@ella_brewer I combed through some old and more recent forum threads on PurseBlog and Reddit subs for handbag lovers. Nothing came up about a C stamp. However, one part of the creed number being darker than the other was often evidence of a fake bag. Posting pics to a forum would be the best way to authenticate, so long as the posters give a good explanation and not just a yay or nay.
