Vintage D&E Juliana brooch verified in Juliana database "Is it Juliana" ref # 3178 Google "Is it Juliana" Enter Brooch at top where it says "What is it" then Red for color. tap on #4 in the list and you will find it. The reverse side, shows figure eight puddling of metal which is common to this maker. It also has a pin stop on the hinge. Clasp is made as part of the construction and functions well. All stones are present and secure. Brooch is 2in circ. and in mint condition. Lots of sparkle. S&E made brooches in1967-1968. They were displayed in a window on 5th Ave NY with hang tags. When women wore them the 1st time, the paper tag was removed and ultimately lost. Therefore, none of the pieces are marked. However, they are easily identifiable by their construction.
