Briglin Studio Art Pottery Ceramic 8 Piece Mug and Saucer Set Signed -Blue Brown

Gorgeous. This vintage studio pottery set of four small coffee/tea cups and saucers is absolutely an earthy pottery lover's dream. If you were ever a fan of the marled blue wool sweater look, that's what the finish on these cups remind me of. The colorway is a rich cream, brown, and pale turquoise blue swirl. Small size cups vary ever so slightly in height and hold 6 to 7 oz each. Each mug has a slightly different appearance in their glazing, with some skips here and there in the glaze or variation in the swirl on the plates. Stamped "Briglin" on the bottom of each item. Briglin was a pottery studio active in the UK from 1948 to 1990. This listing represents a lovely example of their earthy mid century to 70s style, but I don't have an exact date it was produced.
