@tlbcjb1 I just googled it, because i know mine has never tarnished..
It is made up of a mixture of solid brass and zinc alloy and it is layered with silver to make perfect plating that may not wash away with time. After complete processing, Brighton jewelry goes through a protective layer of lacquer that makes it more durable and protected against tarnishing
