This green book is more for beginners. Always start with the green book if you need to learn the basics of echo. It is more towards learning basics in m mode or 2d, doppler, spectral examination and it focuses a lot of the formulas, calculations, measurements and the function of the heart in systole and diastole. also stenosis and regurgitation. The purple book is more pathology related and assessing heart disease. Every chapter is a new disease and everything you need to learn about how to identify if, treat it, measure it and etc. The books are amazing paired together !!! it's everything you need to know how echo in all honesty.
