This is a beginners guide for DIY who might never have done any soldering before but want to take on the project of repairing their Bose Wave Music System.
The lack of good, honest techs who can do good and reasonably priced restoration/rebuild of audio equipment made me start offering this restoration kit. Also the fact that shipping your Bose Wave Music System back and fourth is a recipe for disaster. These units are over 20 years old and if not packed properly they can easily be broken. Not to mention having to spend $20-$30 each way to ship and $100-200 to get it fixed.
If your Bose Wave radio is experiencing the following issues:
* Please Wait Error
* Disc Error
* Won't accept CD's
* CD's aren't playing
* Stuck on displaying time and won't switch to other inputs like radio or CD
* CD is skipping
* CD is making a clicking sound
* Radio isn't playing
* Remote isn't responding (battery has been checked) light is showing up on unit but no response to commands
* Disc Unreadable Error
* CD Won't Eject
Included:
1. A full step by step beginners guide to fixing your Bose Wave Radio AWRCC1 or AWRCC2 yourself without having to send in your system.
2. The replacement parts needed to fix the above listed issues.
3. Service after the sale if needed.
Not Included but needed:
1. Soldering iron with fine tip
2. Solder - fine electronics grade is best. Leaded or leadfree is fine.
3. Needle nose pliers with wire cutter area
4. Phillips head screwdrivers with magnetic tips.
