Borsalino fedora. Glen. I had the original leather band replaced with vintage green ribbon. Pretty good condition. Soft felt. Size is about 7 3/8. I am a 7 3/8 long oval and this fits me, but a little on the tight side. Brim is about 2.5 inches. Crown about 4.5 inches.

@jackt1997 Just saw this now for some reason. Not offended at all. But I spent around $50 just on the vintage ribbon! I do appreciate your interest.

Is that cracking on the left side of the sweat band?
May 29Reply

cabbagemonkey
@llbax I don’t think so. Will check tonight when I am home

@llbax It is wrinkled slightly but not cracked, if that makes sense. Leather definitely is not dry and brittle like you would see on some vintage hats.

llbax
Yes, that makes sense. Thanks for checking.

Hello! Do you know what size it is in centimeters?
Nov 12Reply

cabbagemonkey
@xlsos12345 Hi. Sorry for the delay. I would say between 58 and 59 cm. 59 cm fits me perfectly and this is just a tad snug.

Do you know what time period this hat was manufactured?

@anthonyjulia141 Hello. I don't know for sure. I obtained it second-hand. I don't believe it is vintage. My best guess is the 2010s.

@cabbagemonkey ok, thank you. I'm looking for a Borsolino pre 1987.

I collect fedoras from the 1940s through 1950s. I see you have quite a few listed but they're sold. I am looking for a 1949 Stetson "Lancer" which is similar to a "Whippet".

@anthonyjulia141 I may actually have something. Had my hat size measured recently and it looks like I may have outgrown some of my borderline hats, probably including some borsos. I will check it out over the holidays

@cabbagemonkey Thanks so much I really appreciate it. To give you an idea of what I have in my collection, I currently have a 48 stetson stetsonian, 51 & 53 open roads, 48 resistol, 58 whippet, 45, 51, 58 jc penny marathon, 1940s stephen L. stetson, 48 & 51 hoyt demon hanovers, and a 48 Dalton. All in a 7 1/4 & 7 3/8, but the 7 3/8's fit the best. All are mint, some never worn. So please keep me in the mind.

Hey Dustin, let me know if you ever come across another Knox in a 7 1/4 like the one you sold. Thanks Tony

@cabbagemonkey Hi Dustin, how'd you make out checking on some of your other hats you told me about? Please keep me posted. Thanks, Tony

@anthonyjulia141 Howdy. Found the Borsalino I was thinking about and just listed it. I will try to look later at some of my smaller ones.

@cabbagemonkey Thanks so much. I did purchase a Borsalino, but please keep informed on what else you may have in a 7 3/8.
