@lorigundlach Yes, this is very similar to a Burton snow jacket (this is a lesser-known European brand). It has a water resistant outer shell and an inner fleece for insulation. The material has that “crinkle” sound on the outer shell. I don’t know the waterproof rating numbers, but these are designed for keeping out the snow, not so much a heavy rain downpour. I’m sure you could wash it with DWR to improve its rain repellency.
