Hello, I’m Mod and I’m part of the dynamic duo that runs this closet. So how did I get started? I started selling on Poshmark about 3 years ago after losing over 200 lbs. in a year. With that amount of weight loss in such a short time frame, I needed clothes badly and fast. And as you can imagine, building an entirely new wardrobe is expensive. I didn’t know what I was going to do until I fell upon this gem called Poshmark. I didn’t know much about it, but I started listing my clothes that were now too big for me, and to my amazement, they sold! Imagine my joy! I really didn’t think anyone was searching for clothes in my former size or that people would buy pre-owned clothes. But thank God there was a market for it. But then the pandemic hit, and like everyone else my world was turned upside down and I went into survivor mode. I needed more than just clothes. I needed a plan, to adjust and money to survive. With now needing copious amounts of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and a nest egg while the world was becoming more uncertain, I had to do something to get and keep my basic necessities. With being disabled and on a fixed income, I needed more help, especially with food and gas inflation. So, what started out as me just trying to replenish my wardrobe, quickly became a side hustle and is now slowly turning into a business. With that said, I’m grateful for each sale made and sincerely appreciate all of you who have been instrumental in achieving my goals!
