Illustrated by the author, translated by Brian Bruya.
Paperback, 145 pages. I bought this new in the early 90s and it is now lovingly used, in acceptable/good condition. The pages are rippled with minor water damage and the edges and corners show wear/use. There's also rippling on the plastic film of the cover (see pics). No marks or tears on the pages themselves.
"Zhuangzi (~369 - 286 B.C.E.) is the best-known Daoist writer whose existence can be historically verified. During a period of political and social upheaval in China, his unconventional insights pointed to a way of living naturally. In the early 1980s, inspired by the wisdom of this sage, the immensely popular Taiwanese cartoonist Tsai Chih Chung began to create his bestselling Zhuangzi comic book. Tsai's characters enact the key parables, thus making the original text accessible to modern generations. This version has been translated into English by Brian Bruya, and is thus now available to a Western audience. The classical Chinese text is reproduced in the margins."
