His 1951 victory was annulled by a military junta led by Hugo Ballivián. Hernán Siles Zuazo (21 March 1914 – 6 August 1996) was a Bolivian politician who served as president twice. He also briefly served as the temporary president in April 1952, and as vice president between 1952 and 1956.
