Invacare Heavy Duty Sling model R140 New, without tags, purchased when we were caring for a friend prior to his admission into a skilled facility, and we never needed to use it, as he was admitted immediately after we bought it. The best description of the product is in the photos. It's a blue mesh, with heavy duty handles. It has a weight capacity on the tag. It's in pristine condition. It feels extremely durable, with heavy duty reinforcement in the handles. It was impossible to fit the entire sling into a single photograph, so I took several pics of the weightbearing portions. Please ask questions if the description and photos aren't totally clear. Happy to help.

Good morning. Thank you for all the details. I am very interested. However, the last picture you have with the diagram has the person sitting upright in the sling. I thought this slig was the longer one where the person is in a reclined position the whole time? My patient can't sit up at all.

@hipshelp4u Hi, Nicole my friend is completely paralyzed on his left side, and couldn't sit or stand alone. It was challenging to transfer him from his bed to a wheelchair or toilet/shower chair. I'm not a trained health professional, so the transfers were often awkward and a few times, scary. By the time I found this sling, we had it down, and he was expedited into a care facility. Having said that, this was only going to be used to leverage short distance moves, from one spot to another. cont'

@hipshelp4u While we were planning to use it strictly manually, (no lift) it can also be paired, as in the diagram. There is no belt or mechanism that holds an unassisted body in place- but can be used with the person in a very reclined position, if all 4 handles are being used to evenly distribute the weight. If I gave the wrong details, message me back and I'll try to get the info you need to make the right decision. Happy to measure it, if that helps, too.

Thank you. I have the mechanical lift and would be using that to lift her. It looks similar to the one we already own but slightly different. I will check to make sure it matches what we have. We do a manual lift with her, but at 400 lbs, I want to use the lift more frequently. Having more than one hammock/sling would work. I will be in touch.
