Hi. I love this skirt! This is a Boden item with UK-only sizing. For their U.S. products, they list both sizes on the tag. This one was UK, because the same thing you described happened to me. It only has one size listed, and the care tags use British English spelling, so it's likely equivalent to a U.S. size 8.
