Trunks made from 46% organic cotton, 46% SEAQUALTMrecycled plastic and 8% elastane. The organic cotton gives the fabric a super soft feel, while the recycled plastic fibres make it quick drying and durable. The melange effect is achieved by using a dye which only colours the cotton and leaves the plastic fibres in their natural white colour. SEAQUALTMis a non-profit organisation which collaborates with Spanish fishermen to remove plastic waste found in the ocean. This plastic is then brought back to shore and sent to a recycling factory where it gets sorted, cleaned and reinvented as yarn. This results in a 40% reduction of water consumption, 50% energy saved and a 60% reduction in carbon emissions.
